I have always loved sports, I grew up playing competitive soccer and then volleyball while at the Naval Academy. Unfortunately I hurt my knee in the Navy, an injury that required 9 surgeries. The combination of injury and becoming a mother to my two sons left me 40 pounds heavier and with limited strength, mobility, and fitness. Like many others, I believed calorie restrictive dieting was the only way to control my weight, and that the loss of knee function was irreversible.
Luckily, in 2013 I met a coach and trainer who changed my life and pointed me down the path of whole nutrition and strength. In 2014 I found CrossFit and Olympic lifting and rediscovered the athlete I thought was gone forever.
I coach to help others accomplish their fitness and nutrition goals, and to live the healthy and active lives they desire. Changing your body takes time and perseverance, but with a plan and support you can do it. My goal is to pay it forward
